How to insert multiple rows/columns in Excel

Let’s say we have the below table containing list of dresses and their price. Now we need to insert 5 rows after the 7th row.

So we need to select 5 rows after the 7th row.

Then press keyboard shortcut  Ctrl+Shift+Plus(+). See below 5 new rows have been inserted after the 7th row of the table.

As an alternative way, we could have selected the 5 rows after 7th row and then do right click and Insert to insert 5 rows after the 7th row as follows.

In the same way if we need to insert 3 columns after Column A then select 3 columns after column A.

And then either do right click and insert else use keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+Plus(+). See below 3 new columns have been inserted after the 1st column of the table.
