How to hide/unhide the selected rows in excel

For example we have a table containing the death count of animals over 6 months of the year 2020 in Kanha Reserve Forest.

  • Let’s say we need to Hide rows 6 and 7. Just select those rows and press Keyboard Shortcut Ctrl+9 to hide the selected rows. See below after row 5 there is row 8 as 6th and 7th rows are hidden.

  • Now to unhide the hidden rows select the entire table and press keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+9. This will unhide all rows in any section of the table. If you need to unhide only a certain row then select the rows before and after the hidden row and then unhide.

  • The alternative process to hide/unhide rows is first select the rows and right click and then choose Hide / Unhide operations to hide/unhide the selected rows as below.
